How to Create, Edit, and Delete Posts

Creating, Editing, and Deleting Posts on Blogger

While creating a Blogger account and surfing the different blogs people have made is entertaining, it is only half the battle to this website's abilities. Chances are that you also want to create a blog about whatever your heart desires, but unable to navigate through the vast amount of options. This blog will walk you through how to create, edit, and delete a post as well as familiarize you with the process of adding labels and what to avoid when creating content.
First things first, sign into the Blogger website and create a blog. The previous tutorial goes over that task. Once you have an idea of what you want you blog to be about, it's time to create the fist post. In the left menu, there is a large orange button with a plus sign that says "new post" as shown below. After clicking that button, you'll be immediately directed in an empty canvas that is ready to be edited.

If you're curious to see how your post will look when published, click preview on the top right of screen. Along with preview, you have the save and publish button. Publishing a post is as easy as clicking the post button, however, you can also schedule a publish by going on your blog, clicking on the post you want to publish, and select the clock icon. After that it will prompt you what time and day the post is to be published. Note that if you're using the cloud, you're content should save on it's own and can be confirmed with the cloud logo and a checkmark shown below

In the same menu pictured above is where the labels menu is. Labels are like hashtags, they help people find your posts. For example, if you write about dog breeds, some tags you might consider are "dogs", or "pets". Note that if you want to use multiple labels they have to be separated by commas, otherwise you have an ongoing label that wouldn't be recognized.
Once a post is publish, it does not mean it stays that way forever. The beauty of modern technology allows you to edit a post, even when it's published. This is especially useful if you find a spelling error, grammar error, or you want to change the way a sentenced is phrased. To do this, go to your blog and click on the title of the post you want to edit. Make whatever changes you need to and that's it! If said post has been published, the published icon has changed to an "update" icon. Same idea as publish, although it will be published with corrections you made. If not published, the icons remain as save and publish.

There is no such thing as perfection, we all make mistakes that we wish can be erased. For Blogger, the wish has been granted with the "Delete" option. If a post turns out to be something you don't want to be published, or maybe you changed your mind on a post you've made, it can be fixed. Go on you blog, hover over your posts, and click the garbage icon on the right as shown below. The icons are a little different if published, but the garbage can remains as the main idea.

As content goes, the sky's the limit- unless it's copyrighted. Avoid using somebody's work without consent. A way you can incorporate ones work is to cite the source and creator. Another thing to avoid is creating content that violates the content policy. Anything crude, explicit, or violent is not tolerated.
